# Editorial companion September 27, 2026 ## What was written The first draft follows the complete thirteen-chapter September 24 book arc. It adds an introduction, glossary, and identifiable source notes. The working title follows the newer Reflexology Revisited branding choice, provisionally applied to the book. The Reflexology Wave remains the framework name. This is a compact developmental manuscript. It establishes the argument and continuity through every chapter. It is shorter and less biographical than the eventual story-led book should be because verified case narratives and a substantial natural voice sample are missing. The passages are newly composed editorial proposals for Ruth's review, not approved quotations from her. ## History reviewed and its limits - Read the project book guide, September 24 blueprint, drafting prompts, source index, coverage report, original working notes, and voice discussion. - Extracted and reviewed user-role turns across the readable archive. The archive preserves 27 documents representing 16 identified conversations, with overlapping supplements. This is not a claim that all 647,656 archived characters were read line by line in this run. - Read the initial and revised Chapter 1 openings and sampled the recovered Chapter 2–4 material for continuity and provenance risks. Their useful themes were retained; their invented scenes were not treated as firsthand facts. - Checked the recent task listing and read the September 26 branding user turns from the local conversation record after the task read tool failed. Joseph selected the name Reflexology Revisited and asked to apply the branding broadly. That is the basis for the provisional title, not proof of a separate final book-title decision. - Verified selected published sources for the claims actually included. No systematic literature review, detailed clinical protocol review, or jurisdictional licensing research was performed. This review uses the preserved historical collection and available recent records. Deleted chats, expired uploads, and unavailable attachments remain outside its coverage. In particular, the original Chapter 1 rewrite that Joseph liked was not recovered; the subsequent assistant response discussing it survives. ## Source ledger by chapter | Chapter | Grounding | New editorial contribution or remaining limit | |---|---|---| | Introduction | Main Plan answers 28–36; September 24 blueprint | New framing and prose. The voice is provisional. | | 1 | Main Plan answer 22 for training and reported practice duration; 32 and 35 for the premise and force objection; working notes | No invented first-client scene. The school name and duration are reported history, not independently verified credentials. | | 2 | AoR professional history; NCCIH overview; Nordblom school description | Comparison is terminology, not certification or endorsement. Ruth's own foot-zoning background is unknown. | | 3 | Experimental foot-sole sensory paper [4] | Optional seated noticing invitation is newly proposed, with no treatment or balance claims. | | 4 | Main Plan ethics and reader-experience direction; blueprint B04 | Communication examples are proposed language, not quotations or a clinical intake protocol. | | 5 | Main Plan answer 35; earlier rhythm themes | No pressure levels, movements, or durations invented. Rhythm is explored without claiming brain entrainment. | | 6 | Main Plan answer 17; blueprint B06 | General reflective teaching. No invented preparation routine or personal mistake attributed to Ruth. | | 7 | Original working notes and blueprint B07 | Four phases retained as a hypothesis. The meanings are proposed clarifications needing Ruth's review. No proven mechanism asserted. | | 8 | Blueprint B08 | Four explicitly imagined examples replace unavailable verified client cases for this pass. | | 9 | Descamps et al. 2023; Wyatt et al. 2012; NCCIH | Selected evidence chapter, not comprehensive review. The 385 overall versus 286 primary-group distinction is preserved. | | 10 | Blueprint B10; session communication themes | Entire walkthrough explicitly imagined. No claim this is Ruth's demonstrated sequence. | | 11 | September 27 expansion request; provider menus [8–9]; dated trend reporting [10]; Poerio et al. 2018 | Expanded chapter on an emerging adjacent service. Practical integration formats and the transition scene are explicitly proposed or imagined. No claim of profession-wide adoption, an established reflexology branch, or in-person efficacy from video research. | | 12 | Blueprint B12 | Newly proposed optional noticing and communication exercises, awaiting Ruth's editorial approval. | | 13 | Main Plan direction; blueprint B13 | Closing argument and proposed research questions, not findings or commitments to run studies. | ## Exact source locations - `C:/Ruth/archive/10-source-main-plan.md` — source conversation: https://chatgpt.com/c/69cac71c-180c-8325-bc91-73a581438419 - `C:/Ruth/archive/13-source-book-creator.md` — source conversation: https://chatgpt.com/c/69ceacd6-bfac-8326-b29a-588584afd0f9 - `C:/Ruth/archive/18-book-creator-chapters-2-4-browser-supplement.md` — overlapping book draft supplement. - `C:/Ruth/archive/23-original-working-notes-redefining-reflexology.md` — source of Wave language; strong claims in this file are not established facts. - `C:/Ruth/archive/14-source-mimicking-speech-patterns.md` — request for Ruth's actual voice; no substantial voice sample supplied there. - `C:/Ruth/archive/06-source-reflexology-brain-research.md` — historical lead to the MRI paper, rechecked against current publication records. - `C:/Ruth/BOOK-AND-COURSE-BLUEPRINT-2026-09-24.md` — thirteen-chapter sequence. - `C:/Ruth/AI-DRAFTING-PROMPTS.md` — provenance and scope guidance. - `C:/Ruth/COVERAGE.md` — source recovery limits. - Local task record `01a0ddc2-e751-73e0-9c69-715ee80d17e5`, September 26 — newer branding decision. Published-source URLs and full available bibliographic details appear in the manuscript. For source [4], the full PMC article did not open through the web reader; the indexed experimental-paper text supported only the limited sensory statement used. Its complete bibliography and full methods should be checked in the expanded research pass. The Wyatt discussion was checked against the published abstract, not a full methodological appraisal. ## Ruth inputs with the greatest value These markers identify revision work. They are not barriers to the draft already completed. 1. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: one actual origin account for Chapter 1.]** Describe a specific moment that changed how you thought. What did you notice, what did the client say, and what did you think then? Exact dialogue should be used only if reliably remembered or recorded. Permission and anonymization need to be settled before a client story is included. 2. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: three contrasting real accounts for Chapter 8.]** Include an ordinary session, a striking or puzzling one, and one that did not fit your expectations or needed to stop. Avoid names and identifying details in an initial voice note. 3. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: a natural ten-minute explanation.]** Talk as if a curious client asked what reflexology means to you. This will help replace the provisional editorial voice with her actual cadence and vocabulary. 4. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: Wave definitions.]** Which phase names and descriptions feel accurate? What is felt by the hands, what is seen, and what is reported by the client? When does the pattern not appear? 5. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: one approved session sequence for Chapter 10.]** A narrated demonstration or existing approved description can replace the invented reader walkthrough without inventing technique. 6. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: scalp scratching.]** Explain exactly what she means by the service, whether and how she currently offers it, her training, and any actual accounts she wants included. Clarify tools, products, hair contact, and terminology before practical details are added. 7. **[RUTH INPUT NEEDED: biography and title check.]** Confirm the printed byline, school name, training duration, current description of practice experience, any named foot-zoning background, and whether Reflexology Revisited is also the book title. ## Expansion sequence The September 27 scalp revision expands Chapter 11 with new service examples and three added sources. The title is now “Scalp Scratching and the New Sensory Wellness Trend.” Provider information supports what is advertised, not biological claims. Scratchy GIRL's menu was available through indexed page text; its direct web-reader view returned no body. The chapter stays within those visible descriptions. The previous chapter and combined manuscript are preserved in `.build/backups/scalp-chapter-before-expansion`. First revise Chapters 1 and 7 using Ruth's voice and actual definitions. Next replace the invented examples in Chapters 8 and 10 with approved, permissioned material. Develop the scalp chapter from her actual service. Then expand the history and research with a fuller primary-source review, checking both supportive and null findings. Finish with a continuity edit to reduce repeated qualifications and add the concrete detail currently missing. Do not lengthen every chapter equally. The eventual narrative depth should come from real accounts, more precise distinctions, and well-chosen evidence. There is no benefit in padding short chapters to match an earlier word-count suggestion. ## Publication checks still required Ruth's substantive and voice approval; client permissions and privacy review; verification of printed biography and credentials; fuller scientific review; appropriate review of any practical safety material added later; final copyedit and book design. None of these was implied by creating this first draft. No material was published or sent to another person.
