Start with a feeling.
Stay for the questions.
Why does one kind of touch feel welcome, while another feels like too much? What changes when we slow down, check in, or pause?
These are the kinds of questions at the heart of Ruth’s approach: attention to the person, their preferences, and the experience of a session.
Scalp
scratching.
A new chapter for Reflexology Revisited, Ruth’s working book title.
A FIRST LOOK AT THE DIRECTION
A small gesture.
A bigger conversation.
The planned chapter opens a conversation about scalp scratching, sensory preferences, consent, and the way people describe touch.
It is a new addition: the chapter has not yet been written into the current manuscript. Scalp scratching is also being explored as a separate future teaching topic; it is not a confirmed module in the foundation course.

Scalp work is a separate future teaching idea. Its scope and availability are still being developed; it is not currently promised as part of the foundation course.
